Desert Rose & Plumeria Collection

A growing collection of Desert Rose and Plumeria plants, propagated from cuttings or grown from seeds. A hobby that my mom and I both share together. Learning about the soil chemistry to the right amount of phosphorus to get the plants to bloom. Future build, I am building a soil moister detector connected to my homelab that will auto water the plants when they need it. I am also building a smart greenhouse for the plants to live during winter.

Fun fact, when there is lightning, nitrogen is broken down and bonds with oxygen to create nitrates which fall to the earth, get absorbed by plants for a growth boost.

Another fun fact: You know that smell before a big rain storm? That is ozone, which is broken down oxygen. You can use an ozone machine to get rid of lingering smells in your house or car.
